Spitfire Update from The Parnall Aircraft Company

BL688 Spitfire Project - Parnall Aircraft Company

This week has seen the fuselage structure finally take shape as all parts were refitted and it now looks as it should.

Laurent & Kian have been busy attaching all these parts, slowly depleting the aviation world of small purple rivets! When done we will reveal the quantity taken to get this far!

Murphy has finished his wing rib, now awaiting some large rivets to join it all together. More beckon. Lawrence is continuing the manufacture of a jig to support the aft fuselage when it is in work.

David was at his best fabricating some complicated shapes out of thick gauge material using his ‘ammer! The wings are continuing slow initial assembly and all the parts of the engine mount are now being inspected and original wartime repair schemes applied where needed.
