Spitfire Update 19.11.19

From the workshop this week we have seen progress being made on wing structure for both wings. This has involved some intricate angles being manufactured and the use of jig boards to ensure the accuracy needed.

The aft fuselage has been attached to the main fuselage but in doing this it revealed some major problems with the basic shape and also its alignment. This has been remedied by the production of a new frame and skins to match and after everything has been drilled off and painted it will be riveted up and bolted on.

The cockpit area has been painted and is now in the process of being riveted up and kitted out. And a stand has been made so the undercarriage legs can be assembled along with the wheels ready for installation when the time comes.
